Issaquah ranked a tough place for drivers

Issaquah ranked a tough place for drivers
On Behalf Of Dean Standish Perkins & Associates
Aug 15, 2018

Driving can have its frustrations. A recent report suggests this may particularly be the case for people here in Issaquah. It named Issaquah one of the worst places for drivers when it comes to large U.S. cities.

According to this WalletHub report, among America’s 100 biggest cities, Issaquah is ranked 96th regarding being driver-friendly.

In ranking cities for how driver-friendly they are, the report considered four different categories of factors:

  • Traffic & infrastructure
  • Safety
  • Access to vehicles & maintenance
  • Cost of ownership & maintenance

Of these four categories, access to vehicles & maintenance was the only one in which Issaquah didn’t rank in the bottom half among large U.S. cities. And the city didn’t miss the bottom half in that category by that many rankings.

What do you see as the most challenging things about being a driver in Issaquah?

If this report is any indication, Issaquah isn’t always an easy place to be a driver. There are things individuals in the city can do though to try to keep their driving experience from going an unfortunate direction. For one, they can take steps to help keep their car trips safe. Getting where you are headed safely is the most important goal of any trip. Steps that can be taken towards this goal include:

  • Being alert and attentive behind the wheel
  • Avoiding distractions
  • Obeying traffic laws
  • Not driving when tired
  • Not driving at an excessive speed
  • Being mindful of road and weather conditions and driving accordingly

Sometimes, a driver’s safety is compromised by the actions of another motorist. When drivers are hurt here in the Issaquah area due to the actions of unsafe motorists, they can seek out help from skilled attorneys regarding the pursuit of fair compensation.

If you’ve been injured in a car accident caused by another driver’s negligence in Issaquah, Bellevue, Seattle, or the surrounding Washington area, you don’t have to navigate the aftermath alone. At Standish Perkins & Associates, our personal injury attorneys are here to help you pursue the fair compensation you deserve. Contact us today at (206) 467-0701 for a free consultation.
